Create a blank canvas app from scratch

In Power Apps, create a blank canvas app that you can then use to customize further with data from another data source, or by using collections.

Prerequisites

To follow this quickstart, you must be assigned to the Environment Maker security role.

Create a blank canvas app

1. Sign in to Power Apps and, if necessary, switch environments.

2. on left navigation pane select Create > Blank app.

3. From the available options, select Create under Blank canvas app.

4. Enter an app name.

5. (Optional) Choose a different format for the app.

6. Select Create to create the blank canvas app.

Once created, the app opens in Power Apps Studio for you to start building the app.
