Customers will have an opt-in feature that provides the ability to failover and ensure business continuity during region-wide outages.

Feature details

Currently, cross-region failovers are managed by Microsoft and require coordination with customers before deciding on failovers. With this new feature, customers don't have to wait for Microsoft to orchestrate the failover during region-wide outages.
