Applies to: Office 365 for professionals and small businesses, Office 365 for enterprises, Microsoft Exchange, Live@edu
You can change the display name, alias, and description of your group, change the membership, change group owners, and set permissions for people who want to join or leave the group. You can also restrict people from sending messages to your group or approve messages before they reach your group by moderating the group.
To change specific settings for your group, see these topics:
- Change the Display Name, E-Mail Address or Alias, or Description for Your Public Group
- Add Other People As Owners for Your Public Group
- Set Options for People to Join or Leave Your Public Group
- Select Who Can Send Messages to Your Public Group
- Approve or Reject Messages Before They Reach Your Public Group
What else do I need to know?
The E-Mail Options section in your group's Details view displays all the e-mail addresses your group has had. Every time you change the alias part of the group's e-mail address, the earlier version of the group's e-mail address is displayed under E-mail addresses. A message sent to any of these addresses will reach the group. This is a section you can't change.
