Troubleshoot Web pages

I have a route on my map, but I can't include driving directions on my Web page.

The Directions pane must be open when you save or change the options for a Web page for the driving directions to appear.

How?

I included the map legend when I saved my Web page, but it doesn't appear on the Web page.

Make sure to open the Legend and Overview pane and expand the sections you want.

How?

Next, change the options for your saved Web page.

How?

Hyperlinks may appear on the Web page but not be functional for any of the following reasons:

The Include hyperlinks check box is not selected for the Web page. To check, open the map file from which the Web page was saved and on the File menu, select Manage Saved Web Pages. Select the name of the Web page, and then click Edit. If the Include hyperlinks check box does not have a check in it, select the check box, and then click OK.

The hyperlink is not associated with the Pushpin or data set. Check which hyperlinks are associated with the Pushpin or data set.

How?

If you added multiple hyperlinks to a Pushpin balloon and then associated those hyperlinks to Pushpin balloon notes, only the first hyperlink is associated with the balloon.

Tip  To access all hyperlinks in a balloon, show the balloon before you save your map as a Web page. Select the Pushpin, and, on the View menu, click Show Information.

Hyperlinks in balloons for points of interest, such as hotels or restaurants, are active only on the map in MapPoint; they cannot be saved to a Web page.

I can't see any of the graphics on my Web page.

When you save a Web page, a collection of graphics files (.gif files) is saved along with the Web page (.htm file) in folder layout. For example, if you save a map as a Web page with the file name MyMap.htm in a folder named My Documents, a subfolder named MyMap_files that contains the collection of graphics files is created under My Documents. If the Web page file is moved or copied to a different location, the graphics folder must also be moved or copied to the same location. Similarly, if you send the Web page to someone, you must also send the graphics folder.
