The Server Object Model
The server object model is used to control, configure, and monitor a Windows Media server. The following diagram identifies the interfaces of the server object model.
You must use the WMSServer object to acquire the interfaces. This object contains properties and methods for accessing specific plug-in collections, limits, counters, connections, and publishing point objects. You can use C, C++, C#, Visual BasicĀ®, or a scripting language to program the object model. The following sections discuss each of the interface types identified by the preceding diagram:
- Cache Interfaces
- Client Interfaces
- Counter Interfaces
- Diagnostic Event Interfaces
- Limit Interfaces
- Name/Value Interfaces
- Playlist Interfaces
- Plug-in Interfaces
- Publishing Point Interfaces
