Edited End User Ratings and Synchronization

Provides an end user with the capability to edit 5-star ratings on the device, and synchronize those ratings with the PC.
Now Playing Added to Media Library Screen

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Displays Now Playing as an item on the Library screen, which already displays My Music, My Video, and My TV.
DirectDraw Renderer Enhancements

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Supports the use of the standard DirectShow renderer in the Windows Media Player. The renderer natively supports DirectDraw, which enables hardware OEMs to write standard DirectDraw drivers to control specialized graphics hardware with capabilities such as overlay support.
Networking Support for Media Streaming Enhancements

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Provides enhancements such as fast caching support and auto-reconnect support. Some 3G networks, for example, EVDO, have characteristics that require additional support in Windows Media Player to optimize streaming playback.
DirectShow Streaming Support

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Provides streaming support for additional protocols and formats added to the media player via DShow.
State and Notification Broker Support for Windows Media Player 10 Mobile

Provides an end user with the capability to view information on track name, time remaining, and artist, for the currently playing song.
Audio Render Moved Off Windows Media Player User Interface Thread

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Separates the threads that process user interface messages. For example, WM_KEYDOWN, WM_PAINT is separated from any internal messages that control Windows Media engine processing of audio and video.
Media Player Security Enhancements

Incorporates the desktop ASF, ASX, and MP3 parser, which have enhanced security.
Scaled Video to Fit Screen

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Changes the Shrink to fit option in Audio/Video options to Scale to fit, to allow video to be stretched to fit the screen in full-screen mode.
Override Default Buy CD Menu Item

Provides the ability to override the default Buy CD menu item to launch the browser to a specific URL.
Sleep Mode while Playing Consecutive MP3 Tracks

Keeps the Windows Mobile-based device in sleep mode when an end user plays consecutive MP3 tracks on Windows Media Player and the device is in screen toggle mode.
Default Skin Branding Capabilities Added

Provides the ability to add branding to the Windows Media Player default skin.
Hard Disk Drive Support

(Smartphone Only)

Provides several optimizations, for example using a RAM buffer to reduce latency and power consumption.
Bluetooth Audio Output Support

Provides support for Bluetooth audio output for native and DShow content that plays on Windows Media Player.
Prevent Device Lock During Media Playback

(Pocket PC and Smartphone)

Provides Windows Media Player Mobile with the ability to prevent the device from locking in certain media playback situations, if the device is automatically set to lock after a specified period of time.
