The Windows Media Player 12 feature set package does not include codecs. In order to play audio or video content, you must include one or more of the packages in the Premium Codecs category in your image.

Windows Media Player may not have AutoPlay function available for certain DVDs, unless Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder (MPEG-2, ACC), and Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder (MPEG-2, H.264) are included. In addition, audio sections of some media may not play unless Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder (MPEG-2, ACC) is included.

You must include the Windows Explorer Shell package in your image and use it as your shell for the Open File Location feature to work when right-clicking a file in the Windows Media Player library.

You must include the BITS package in your image in order for Windows Media Player to access the eMusic online store.

Windows Media Player can burn CDs if you include the Image Mastering API V2 package in your image.
