CancelEventHandler Delegate

Definition

Represents the method that handles a cancelable event.

public delegate void CancelEventHandler(System::Object ^ sender, CancelEventArgs ^ e);
public delegate void CancelEventHandler(object sender, CancelEventArgs e);
public delegate void CancelEventHandler(object? sender, CancelEventArgs e);
type CancelEventHandler = delegate of obj * CancelEventArgs -> unit
Public Delegate Sub CancelEventHandler(sender As Object, e As CancelEventArgs)

Parameters

sender
Object

The source of the event.

e
CancelEventArgs

A CancelEventArgs that contains the event data.

Examples

For an example of how to use the CancelEventHandler delegate, please see the sample code in the CancelEventArgs class.

Remarks

When you create a CancelEventHandler delegate, you identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event-handler method is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For more information about event-handler delegates, see Handling and Raising Events.

Extension Methods
