ToolStripRenderer.OnRenderItemImage(ToolStripItemImageRenderEventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the RenderItemImage event.

protected:
 virtual void OnRenderItemImage(System::Windows::Forms::ToolStripItemImageRenderEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnRenderItemImage (System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItemImageRenderEventArgs e);
abstract member OnRenderItemImage : System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItemImageRenderEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnRenderItemImage : System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItemImageRenderEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnRenderItemImage (e As ToolStripItemImageRenderEventArgs)

Parameters

Exceptions

.NET 5 and later: The e argument is null.

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnRenderItemImage method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnRenderItemImage(ToolStripItemImageRenderEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnRenderItemImage(ToolStripItemImageRenderEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
