Remarks
The ManipulationStartingEventArgs enable you to specify the behavior of a manipulation. Use the ManipulationStartingEventArgs to do the following:
Specify that the position should be relative to an element by setting the ManipulationContainer property.
Specify whether single-finger manipulation are enabled by setting the ManipulationStartingEventArgs.IsSingleTouchEnabled property.
Specify which types of manipulation are enabled by setting the ManipulationStartingEventArgs.Mode property to a ManipulationModes enumeration.
Specify the center of a single-finger rotation by setting the ManipulationStartingEventArgs.Pivot property.
Cancel the manipulation by setting the ManipulationStartingEventArgs.Cancel property to
true
.
For more information about manipulations, see the Input Overview. For an example of an application that responds to manipulations, see Walkthrough: Creating Your First Touch Application.
Properties
Device |
Gets the input device that initiated this event. (Inherited from InputEventArgs) |
Handled |
Gets or sets a value that indicates the present state of the event handling for a routed event as it travels the route. (Inherited from RoutedEventArgs) |
IsSingleTouchEnabled |
Gets or sets whether one finger can start a manipulation. |
ManipulationContainer |
Gets or sets the container that all manipulation events and calculations are relative to. |
Manipulators |
Gets a collection of objects that represents the touch contacts for the manipulation. |
Mode |
Gets or sets which types of manipulations are possible. |
OriginalSource |
Gets the original reporting source as determined by pure hit testing, before any possible Source adjustment by a parent class. (Inherited from RoutedEventArgs) |
Pivot |
Gets or sets an object that describes the pivot for a single-point manipulation. |
RoutedEvent |
Gets or sets the RoutedEvent associated with this RoutedEventArgs instance. (Inherited from RoutedEventArgs) |

Serves as the default hash function. (Inherited from Object) |
GetType() |
Gets the Type of the current instance. (Inherited from Object) |
InvokeEventHandler(Delegate, Object) |
Invokes event handlers in a type-specific way, which can increase event system efficiency. (Inherited from InputEventArgs) |
MemberwiseClone() |
Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. (Inherited from Object) |
OnSetSource(Object) |
When overridden in a derived class, provides a notification callback entry point whenever the value of the Source property of an instance changes. (Inherited from RoutedEventArgs) |
SetManipulationParameter(ManipulationParameters2D) |
Adds parameters to the current manipulation of the specified element. |
ToString() |
Returns a string that represents the current object. (Inherited from Object) |
