Application (form)

Click Human resources > Common > Recruitment > Applications. Click Application to create a new application record, or select an application record and click Edit to modify the selected record.
Use this form to create new employment applications and to modify existing application information.
You can create applications only for applicants or people whose information already is stored in the address book. To create an application for a person whose information is not entered into the address book, you must create an applicant record in the Applicant (form) first.

Applicant details |
Open the Applicants form, where you can view details about an applicant who submitted an application. |
Applicant interviews |
Open the Applicant interviews form, where you can schedule an interview with an applicant. |
Application routing |
Open the Application routing form, where you can maintain a list of workers who are expected to review an application. |
Application status |
Change the status of the application. Only valid statuses for the application are available for you to select. |
Create letter |
Open the Create application document form, where you can specify the template file to use to create a letter for an applicant. For example, if you have a Microsoft Word template that you use to inform applicants that their applications were received, you could select that template in the Create application document form. |
Create e-mail |
Open the E-mail applicant form, where you can select an email template to use when you create an email to send to an applicant. |

Application |
The identification number of the application. Application IDs are numbered according to the number series assigned to the application reference, which is set up in the Number sequences area in the Human resources parameters form. |
Recruitment project |
The recruitment project that an application is included in. |
Name |
Select the name of an applicant for the application. You can select from any person in the address book or you can filter the list to show only applicants. |
Applicant |
The ID of the applicant. Applicant IDs are numbered according to the number series assigned to the applicant reference, which is set up in the Number sequences area in the Human resources shared parameters form. |
Applicant type |
Indicates if an applicant is an employee, contractor, or an external applicant. |
Media |
Select the type of media that was used to recruit the applicant. |
Status |
Indicates where the application is in the recruitment process. Click Application status and select an option to change the status of an application. |
Correspondence action |
Select the next stage in the recruitment process for the application. This also indicates the next type of communication that you should have with an applicant. |
Date of receipt |
The date when the application was received. |
Reason code |
Select a reason for the status of the application. Note The information in this field is maintained in the following form: Human Resources reason codes (form). |
Expire date |
Enter the date when the application will no longer be stored by your company. |
Rating |
Select a number to rate the application. For example, if your company determines that number 1 is the highest rating and an applicant does not meet the basic requirements for the position, you might select an 8 or 9. |
Travel cost |
Enter travel costs that an applicant incurred by traveling for an interview. |
Lodging cost |
Enter lodging costs that an applicant incurred by traveling for an interview. |
Other cost |
Enter other costs that an applicant incurred by traveling for an interview, such as fees for parking or meal costs. |
Department |
Select the department where the applicant will be employed. If the application is assigned to a project in the Recruitment project field, the department associated with the project is displayed. Note If you select a department for this field, you cannot hire the applicant into positions that are associated with other departments. |
Job |
Select the job that the applicant has applied for. If the application is assigned to a project in the Recruitment project field, the job associated with the project is displayed. Note If you select a job for this field, you cannot hire the applicant into positions that are associated with other jobs. |
E-recruitment |
Select this option if the application was received through Enterprise Portal for Microsoft Dynamics AX. |
Start date/time |
The date and time of the first day of work, if applicable. The date does not have to be the same date of employment that is specified when an applicant is hired. |
Contact |
Select a contact for the applicant. You might select a worker who is responsible for processing the application and hiring the applicant or a worker who will be accompanying the applicant on their first day of work. |
