Features in the 2406 release are enabled for users running in the monthly channel with build 2404.1. Early validation for this release is available starting with build 2403.1.

Easy column reordering in grids

The Allow column reordering property controls whether users can reorder columns from directly within the grid. This includes drag-and-drop of the column headers or using Move left and Move right actions from the column header dropdowns.

Recent and pinned available in multisession apps

Recent list shows recently accessed items such as entity records, entity lists, and dashboards. Users can "pin" frequently used records for easy access. These lists are available in model-driven apps and will be available in multisession apps like Customer Service workspace.

Note: Entity records opened as 'anchor tab' will be included in the list of 'Recent' in the SiteMap. Entity records opened as 'additional tab' in a session will not populate the list of recent.

Users can resize the app side pane

Developers can create side panes in a model-driven app using createPane method from the Xrm.App.sidePanes API. This method includes a new Boolean property named isResizable with a default value of true. This allows users to resize the app side pane.

Users can see the maker or AI generated app description in a tooltip

The app description experience was changed to use a modern tooltip. This allows showing more information including if the app description is AI generated. The AI generated app description is explained in Create model driven app description with copilot.
