ToolBar.OnKeyDown(KeyEventArgs) Method

Definition

Provides class handling for the KeyDown routed event that occurs when a key is pressed on an item in the ToolBar.

protected:
 override void OnKeyDown(System::Windows::Input::KeyEventArgs ^ e);
protected override void OnKeyDown (System.Windows.Input.KeyEventArgs e);
override this.OnKeyDown : System.Windows.Input.KeyEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overrides Sub OnKeyDown (e As KeyEventArgs)

Parameters

e
KeyEventArgs

The arguments for the KeyDown event.

Remarks

When the user presses HOME, the first item in the ToolBar receives keyboard focus. When the user presses END, the last item in the ToolBar receives keyboard focus. When this occurs, this implementation marks the KeyDown event as handled by setting the Handled property of the event data to true.

Notes to Inheritors

If you override OnKeyDown(KeyEventArgs), always call the base implementation in your OnKeyDown(KeyEventArgs) implementation. Failure to call the base implementation prevents base classes from handling the event with a class handler, which might change the run-time behavior of the final class. You can call the base implementation either before or after your special handling, depending on your requirements.
