DbUnaryExpression.Argument Property

Definition

Gets or sets the DbExpression that defines the argument.

public:
 property System::Data::Common::CommandTrees::DbExpression ^ Argument { System::Data::Common::CommandTrees::DbExpression ^ get(); };
public System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression Argument { get; }
member this.Argument : System.Data.Common.CommandTrees.DbExpression
Public ReadOnly Property Argument As DbExpression

Property Value

The DbExpression that defines the argument.

Exceptions

The expression is null.

The expression is not associated with the command tree of a DbUnaryExpression, or its result type is not equal or promotable to the required type for the argument.

Remarks

Derived expression types might perform stricter type checks when the Argument property is set. For example, DbDistinctExpression requires that its argument expression has a collection result type. Typically, derived expression types will not allow Argument to be set to an expression with a result type that is not equal or promotable to the result type of the current value.
