Megjegyzések
Az index nulla alapú; az első karakter ebben a példányban nulla indexpozícióban van.
Ha az implementáció védelmi mechanizmust ( például titkosítást) használ, a biztonságos sztring értéke (ha van ilyen) nem védett; c a rendszer hozzárendeli a megadott indexpozícióhoz, majd az új érték ismét védett lesz.
