DataGridView.OnCellToolTipTextChanged(DataGridViewCellEventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the CellToolTipTextChanged event.

protected:
 virtual void OnCellToolTipTextChanged(System::Windows::Forms::DataGridViewCellEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnCellToolTipTextChanged (System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs e);
abstract member OnCellToolTipTextChanged : System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnCellToolTipTextChanged : System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnCellToolTipTextChanged (e As DataGridViewCellEventArgs)

Parameters

e
DataGridViewCellEventArgs

An DataGridViewCellEventArgs that contains information about the cell.

Exceptions

The value of the ColumnIndex property of e is greater than the number of columns in the control minus one.

-or-

The value of the RowIndex property of e is greater than the number of rows in the control minus one.

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnCellToolTipTextChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnCellToolTipTextChanged(DataGridViewCellEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class' OnCellToolTipTextChanged(DataGridViewCellEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
