DataGridView.OnColumnDisplayIndexChanged(DataGridViewColumnEventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the ColumnDisplayIndexChanged event.

protected:
 virtual void OnColumnDisplayIndexChanged(System::Windows::Forms::DataGridViewColumnEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnColumnDisplayIndexChanged (System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewColumnEventArgs e);
abstract member OnColumnDisplayIndexChanged : System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewColumnEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnColumnDisplayIndexChanged : System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewColumnEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnColumnDisplayIndexChanged (e As DataGridViewColumnEventArgs)

Parameters

e
DataGridViewColumnEventArgs

A DataGridViewColumnEventArgs that contains the event data.

Exceptions

The column indicated by the Column property of e does not belong to this DataGridView control.

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnColumnDisplayIndexChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnColumnDisplayIndexChanged(DataGridViewColumnEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnColumnDisplayIndexChanged(DataGridViewColumnEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
