ListView.OnItemMouseHover(ListViewItemMouseHoverEventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the ItemMouseHover event.

protected:
 virtual void OnItemMouseHover(System::Windows::Forms::ListViewItemMouseHoverEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnItemMouseHover (System.Windows.Forms.ListViewItemMouseHoverEventArgs e);
abstract member OnItemMouseHover : System.Windows.Forms.ListViewItemMouseHoverEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnItemMouseHover : System.Windows.Forms.ListViewItemMouseHoverEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnItemMouseHover (e As ListViewItemMouseHoverEventArgs)

Parameters

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnItemMouseHover method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnItemMouseHover(ListViewItemMouseHoverEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnItemMouseHover(ListViewItemMouseHoverEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
