TabControl.OnSelected(TabControlEventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the Selected event.

protected:
 virtual void OnSelected(System::Windows::Forms::TabControlEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnSelected (System.Windows.Forms.TabControlEventArgs e);
abstract member OnSelected : System.Windows.Forms.TabControlEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnSelected : System.Windows.Forms.TabControlEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnSelected (e As TabControlEventArgs)

Parameters

e
TabControlEventArgs

A TabControlEventArgs that contains the event data.

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnSelected method also enables derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnSelected(TabControlEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnSelected(TabControlEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
