Keterangan

Kunci ditangani dengan cara yang tidak peka huruf besar/kecil; diterjemahkan ke huruf kecil sebelum digunakan.

Kunci tidak boleh null, tetapi nilai bisa. Untuk membedakan antara null yang dikembalikan karena kunci yang ditentukan tidak ditemukan dan null yang dikembalikan karena nilai kunci yang ditentukan adalah null, gunakan ContainsKey metode untuk menentukan apakah kunci ada dalam daftar.

Bahasa C# menggunakan kata kunci ini untuk menentukan pengindeks alih-alih mengimplementasikan Item[] properti. Visual Basic mengimplementasikan Item[] sebagai properti default, yang menyediakan fungsionalitas pengindeksan yang sama.
