Control.OnDragOver(DragEventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the DragOver event.

protected:
 virtual void OnDragOver(System::Windows::Forms::DragEventArgs ^ drgevent);
protected virtual void OnDragOver (System.Windows.Forms.DragEventArgs drgevent);
abstract member OnDragOver : System.Windows.Forms.DragEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnDragOver : System.Windows.Forms.DragEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnDragOver (drgevent As DragEventArgs)

Parameters

drgevent
DragEventArgs

A DragEventArgs that contains the event data.

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnDragOver method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnDragOver(DragEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnDragOver(DragEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
