L'esempio di codice usa anche un controllo utente personalizzato che consente agli utenti di modificare le modalità di visualizzazione in una pagina web part. Nel markup dichiarativo della pagina Web prendere nota dell'elemento <asp:CatalogZone> . Nidificati all'interno sono diversi elementi, tra cui un <aspSample:TextDisplayWebPart> elemento. Questo set di elementi consente al controllo personalizzato WebPart di essere visualizzato in un catalogo. Nel markup per l'elemento si noti che l'attributo <aspSample:TextDisplayWebPart>CatalogIconImageUrl viene assegnato a una stringa contenente l'URL di un file di immagine. Caricare la pagina in un browser e usare il controllo elenco a discesa Modalità visualizzazione per modificare la modalità di visualizzazione in modalità catalogo. Usare quindi l'interfaccia utente del catalogo per aggiungere il controllo personalizzato WebPart alla pagina.
