Metabase Property Reference
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 with SP1
This section contains reference pages for each of the Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 metabase properties. Most of these properties can be changed using IIS Manager. You can also use the methods of the IIS Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) provider or the IIS Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) provider in command-line scripts to change these properties.
As an alternative to writing your own command-line scripts, IIS installs Command-Line Administration Scripts that provide enough functionality to help you administer your server. Before you use any of these methods, please review the IIS Metabase section. To view a particular property, click the property name from the table of contents, or from the table below.
Key
@Application-level property: Application-level properties, when set, apply to the entire application regardless of the isolation mode in which your IIS server is running. Setting an application-level property in one location does not affect the entire application pool (see individual property topics for exceptions).
#Process-level property: Process-level properties only have an effect on IIS behavior if they are set at the service level (for both isolation modes), or at the server level (for IIS 5.0 isolation mode, if the application is set to High isolation). The documentation might list other locations where IIS allows you to set these properties, but they have no effect on IIS behavior.
