(IND) Tax ledger posting groups (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

Click General ledger > Setup > Sales tax > India > Tax ledger posting groups.

Use this form to set up the ledger posting groups for India indirect taxes. The ledger posting groups are assigned to individual India indirect tax codes. Later, when you create or modify a ledger posting group, you assign the ledger account to which the taxes will be posted.

Define account codes and registration numbers for ledger posting groups.

Ledger accounts

Define the ledger account types for the selected ledger posting group.

Description

Ledger posting group

Enter the name of the ledger posting group.

Description

Enter a brief description of the ledger posting group.

Tax type

Select the tax type for the ledger posting group.

Account code

Select an account code for the ledger posting. You can select one of the following options:

  • Table – Define the ledger accounts for the registration number that is specified in the Registration number field.

  • All – Define the ledger accounts for all of the tax registration numbers.

Registration number

Select the tax registration number for the ledger posting group.

Description

The description for the selected registration number.

Select

Select the type of ledger account to which the ledger posting group will be attached.

Notitie

The options that are available in this field depend on the tax type that you select in the Tax type field.

Tax component

Select the name of the tax component.

Ledger account

Select the ledger account to which the posting group will be assigned.
