Definition

Contains the font attributes (font name, font size, color, and so on) for an object chart.

Remarks

If you don’t want to format all the text in an AxisTitle, ChartTitle, DataLabel, or DisplayUnitLabel object the same way, use the Characters property of that object to first return a subset of the text as a ChartCharacters object, then use the Font property of the ChartCharacters object to return a ChartFont object you can use to format the subset of text as needed.

Properties

Application

When used without an object qualifier, this property returns an _Application object that represents the Microsoft Word application. When used with an object qualifier, this property returns an Application object that represents the creator of the specified object (you can use this property with an OLE Automation object to return the application of that object). Read-only.

Background

Returns or sets the type of background for text used in charts. Read/write.

Bold

Returns or sets the status of the font. Read/write.

Color

Returns or sets an Object representing the primary color of the object.

ColorIndex

Returns or sets an Object that represents the color of the font.

Creator

Returns a 32-bit Integer that indicates the application in which the specified object was created. Read-only.

FontStyle

Returns or sets the font style. Read/write.

Italic

Gets or sets the value of an Object that determines the status of the font. Read/write.

Name

Returns or sets the name of the object.

OutlineFont

Gets or Returns the value that describes the font as outline.

Parent

Returns the parent for the specified object. Read-only.

Shadow

Sets or Returns the value that describes the specified font as shadowed

Size

Returns or sets the size of the font. Read/write.

StrikeThrough

Gets and sets if the font has a horizontal line drawn though it or not. Read/write.

Subscript

Gets and sets if the font has been rendered smaller and slightly beneath the level of the surrounding text. Read/write.

Superscript

Gets and sets if the font has been rendered smaller and slightly above the level of the surrounding text. Read/write.

Underline

Returns or sets the type of underline applied to the font. Can be one of the following XlUnderlineStyle constants. Read/write.
