How to Edit a Base Catalog

For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.

You can edit existing base catalog properties, add and delete languages, and specify the default and reporting languages for a base catalog. You can also view the dependent virtual catalogs that you created from the base catalog.

Note

You cannot edit the internal name of a catalog. You can edit the catalog name that is displayed on the Web site. If you change the reporting language, the next time the system administrator imports catalog data into the Data Warehouse, it will use the new language. This may cause some data in the Data warehouse to be in one language and other data to be in another language.

To open a catalog to edit

  1. Click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 , and then click Catalog Manager.

  2. In Commerce Server Catalog Manager, in the Views pane, click Catalogs.

  3. In the Catalogs pane, select the catalog you want to edit.
