Comentários

Esse método define um bit no cabeçalho do objeto do objqual o runtime verifica ao chamar finalizadores. Um finalizador, que é representado pelo Object.Finalize método, é usado para liberar recursos não gerenciados antes que um objeto seja coletado pelo lixo. Se obj não tiver um finalizador ou o GC já tiver sinalizado o thread do finalizador para executar o finalizador, a chamada para o SuppressFinalize método não terá efeito.

Objetos que implementam a IDisposable interface podem chamar esse método da implementação do IDisposable.Dispose objeto para impedir que o coletor de lixo chame Object.Finalize um objeto que não o exija. Normalmente, isso é feito para impedir que o finalizador libere recursos não gerenciados que já foram liberados pela IDisposable.Dispose implementação.
