Valor da propriedade

O tempo, em milissegundos, entre eventos Elapsed. O valor deve ser maior que zero e menor ou igual a Int32.MaxValue. O padrão é de 100 milissegundos.

Exemplos

O exemplo a seguir cria uma instância de um Timer objeto que dispara seu Timer.Elapsed evento a cada dois segundos (2000 milissegundos), configura um manipulador de eventos para o evento e inicia o temporizador. Comentários

Você usa a Interval propriedade para determinar a frequência na qual o Elapsed evento é acionado. Como a Timer classe depende do relógio do sistema, ela tem a mesma resolução que o relógio do sistema. Isso significa que o Elapsed evento será acionado em um intervalo definido pela resolução do relógio do sistema se a Interval propriedade for menor que a resolução do relógio do sistema. O exemplo a seguir define a Interval propriedade como 5 milissegundos. Quando executado em um sistema Windows cujo relógio do sistema tem uma resolução de aproximadamente 15 milissegundos, o evento dispara aproximadamente a cada 15 milissegundos em vez de a cada 5 milissegundos.

Observação

O relógio do sistema usado é o mesmo relógio usado por GetTickCount, que não é afetado por alterações feitas com timeBeginPeriod e timeEndPeriod.

Se o aplicativo exigir uma resolução maior do que a Timer oferecida pela classe ou pelo relógio do sistema, use os temporizadores multimídia de alta resolução; consulte Como usar o temporizador de High-Resolution.

Se o intervalo for definido após o Timer iniciado, a contagem será redefinida. Por exemplo, se você definir o intervalo como 5 segundos e definir a Enabled propriedade como true, a contagem será iniciada no momento Enabled em que for definida. Se você redefinir o intervalo para 10 segundos quando a contagem for de 3 segundos, o Elapsed evento será gerado pela primeira vez 13 segundos depois Enabled de ter sido definido truecomo .

Se Enabled estiver definido como true e AutoReset for definido como false, o Timer aciona o Elapsed evento apenas uma vez, a primeira vez que o intervalo passa. Enabled em seguida, é definido como false.

Observação

Se Enabled e AutoReset estiverem definidos falsecomo e o temporizador tiver sido habilitado anteriormente, definir a Interval propriedade fará com que o Elapsed evento seja acionado uma vez, como se a Enabled propriedade tivesse sido definida truecomo .
