<soapExtensionReflectorTypes> Element

This topic is specific to a legacy technology. XML Web services and XML Web service clients should now be created using Windows Communication Foundation.

Specifies, for Web services only, SOAP extension reflector classes, which extend the service description (WSDL document) generation process.

<add>

Adds a specified SOAP extension reflector class, which extends the service description (WSDL document) generation process.

<remove>

Removes a specified SOAP extension reflector class from within the scope of the configuration file.

<clear>

Removes all SOAP extension reflectors from within the scope of the configuration file.

Parent Elements

Element Description

configuration

The root element in every configuration file used by the common language runtime and .NET Framework applications.

system.web

Specifies the root element for the ASP.NET configuration section.

webServices

Controls the settings of Web services deployed using ASP.NET and of Web service clients running on the .NET Framework.

Remarks

The <soapExtensionReflectorTypes> element specifies classes derived from the SoapExtensionReflector class. When a WSDL document that incorporates a service description format extension (SDFE) is generated, the ReflectMethod method of each reflector class is called once for each Web method of the Web service class.
