IPOutlookApp::GetItemFromOid

The GetItemFromOid method retrieves the item specified by a Windows Embedded CE object identifier (OID).
Syntax
HRESULT GetItemFromOid(
long oid,
IDispatch ** ppolItem
);
Parameters
- oid
[in] Identifier of the item to be retrieved. This OID might have been retrieved by replication services or from a call to an add-in.
- ppolItem
[out] Reference to the retrieved item. For information on IDispatch, see IDispatch.
Return Value
This method returns the standard values E_INVALIDARG, E_OUTOFMEMORY, E_UNEXPECTED, and E_FAIL, as well as the following:
- S_OK
The method completed successfully.
Remarks
For All Platforms
To ensure that your Calendar menu extension does not fail during the call to IPOutlookApp::GetItemFromOid, use IUnknown::AddRef and IUnknown::Release so your extension objects are not inadvertently freed by another process.
For Windows Mobile
The function CePimCommand has been deprecated and is no longer used for creating Outlook Mobile menu add-ins. Use the function IContextMenu instead. For more information on adding menus and new menu options to existing context-sensitive shortcut menus, see Developing Menu Components.
