O exemplo a seguir cria uma coleção de dicionários de objetos do tipo Box com um comparador de igualdade. Duas caixas são consideradas iguais se suas dimensões forem as mesmas. Em seguida, ele adiciona as caixas à coleção.

Comentários

Deriva dessa classe para fornecer uma implementação personalizada da IEqualityComparer<T> interface genérica para uso com classes de coleção como a Dictionary<TKey,TValue> classe genérica ou com métodos como List<T>.Sort.

A Default propriedade verifica se o tipo T implementa a System.IEquatable<T> interface genérica e, nesse caso, retorna um EqualityComparer<T> que invoca a implementação do IEquatable<T>.Equals método . Caso contrário, ele retornará um EqualityComparer<T>, conforme fornecido por T.

No .NET 8 e versões posteriores, recomendamos usar o EqualityComparer<T>.Create(Func<T,T,Boolean>, Func<T,Int32>) método para criar instâncias desse tipo.
