As colunas são geradas automaticamente quando essa propriedade é definida true como e as DataSource propriedades ou DataMember são definidas ou alteradas. As colunas também podem ser geradas automaticamente quando a AutoGenerateColumns propriedade é alterada de false para true. Se essa propriedade for true e as DataSource alterações forem alteradas para que haja colunas que não correspondam às colunas do valor anterior DataSource , os dados nas colunas sem correspondência serão descartados. Essa propriedade será ignorada se as DataSource propriedades ou DataMember não estiverem definidas.

Quando AutoGenerateColumns é definido truecomo , o DataGridView controle gera uma coluna para cada propriedade pública dos objetos na fonte de dados. Se os objetos associados implementarem a ICustomTypeDescriptor interface , o controle gerará uma coluna para cada propriedade retornada pelo GetProperties método . Cada cabeçalho de coluna conterá o valor do nome da propriedade que a coluna representa.

Se você definir a DataSource propriedade, mas definir AutoGenerateColumns como false, deverá adicionar colunas manualmente. Você pode associar cada coluna adicionada à fonte de dados definindo a DataGridViewColumn.DataPropertyName propriedade como o nome de uma propriedade exposta pelos objetos associados.

Observação

Definir o DataSource no designer de Windows Forms define automaticamente a AutoGenerateColumns propriedade false como e gera código para adicionar e associar uma coluna para cada propriedade na fonte de dados. O código gerado em tempo de design é equivalente ao código adicionado manualmente mostrado no exemplo a seguir. Não é o mesmo que a geração automática de colunas em tempo de execução que ocorre quando a AutoGenerateColumns propriedade é definida truecomo .
