Microsoft Defender for IoT OT sensor software End User License Agreement
The following End User License Agreement is included in the Microsoft Defender for IoT OT sensor software installation process.
Microsoft Defender for IoT (formerly known as Azure Defender for IoT) is licensed under the terms of your volume license agreement with Microsoft, which incorporate the Product Terms (https://www.microsoft.com/licensing/terms/welcome/welcomepage) and the Microsoft Products & Services Data Protection Addendum (https://aka.ms/dpa). For an overview of these terms, see https://azure.microsoft.com/support/legal/.
Cloud-connected sensors are managed from your Azure account and automatically receive threat intelligence updates. Sensors continuously stream security information to your Azure account, to enable you to analyze this information within Defender for IoT Azure portal or to share with other Azure services, for example Microsoft Sentinel. By using Microsoft Defender for IoT – Cloud Connected version, you consent to Microsoft engineers accessing and using your data (a) to improve Microsoft’s threat intelligence database; and (b) to help build, test, and optimize analytics models. If Microsoft discovers something that may be of concern, we may at our discretion contact your organization to inform it of the situation.
