BusinessLogicDataReader.GetChars Method

This API supports the SQL Server 2012 infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Reads a stream of characters from the specified column.

Syntax

public long GetChars(
    int i,
    long fieldoffset,
    char[] buffer,
    int bufferoffset,
    int length
)

Parameters

  • fieldoffset
    Type: System.Int64
    The index within the row from which to begin the read operation.
  • buffer
    Type: array<System.Char[]
    The buffer into which to copy the data.
  • bufferoffset
    Type: System.Int32
    The index with the buffer to which the data will be copied.
  • length
    Type: System.Int32
    The maximum number of characters to read.

Return Value

Type: System.Int64
The actual number of characters read.
