Examples

The following code example demonstrates the use of this type. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the ProgressChanged event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing Show with Console.WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a project that contains an instance of type WebBrowser named WebBrowser1. Then ensure that the event handler is associated with the ProgressChanged event.

private void WebBrowser1_ProgressChanged(Object sender, WebBrowserProgressChangedEventArgs e) {

System.Text.StringBuilder messageBoxCS = new System.Text.StringBuilder();
messageBoxCS.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "CurrentProgress", e.CurrentProgress );
messageBoxCS.AppendLine();
messageBoxCS.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "MaximumProgress", e.MaximumProgress );
messageBoxCS.AppendLine();
MessageBox.Show(messageBoxCS.ToString(), "ProgressChanged Event" );
}
Private Sub WebBrowser1_ProgressChanged(sender as Object, e as WebBrowserProgressChangedEventArgs) _
     Handles WebBrowser1.ProgressChanged

    Dim messageBoxVB as New System.Text.StringBuilder()
    messageBoxVB.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "CurrentProgress", e.CurrentProgress)
    messageBoxVB.AppendLine()
    messageBoxVB.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "MaximumProgress", e.MaximumProgress)
    messageBoxVB.AppendLine()
    MessageBox.Show(messageBoxVB.ToString(),"ProgressChanged Event")

End Sub

Remarks

You can handle the WebBrowser.ProgressChanged event to implement a navigation progress bar for the WebBrowser control similar to the one in Internet Explorer. Use the CurrentProgress property to determine the number of bytes that have been downloaded successfully. Use the MaximumProgress property to determine the number of bytes available for downloading.
