Microsoft Purview Information Barriers (IB) is a compliance solution that helps you to restrict communication and collaboration between groups and students in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. It’s commonly used in education to avoid unwanted communication and safeguard internal information between users and educational areas. This functionality can be applied to prevent older students from communicating with younger students; restrict communication between grade levels in larger education entities; and allow teachers unlimited collaboration.
