Collaborate on files in Teams

Completed

The Files tab lets team members have a cloud-based file-sharing drive for live editing and collaboration. The ability to upload or create files and chat with teammates saves valuable time. If the shared files are Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files, colleagues or learners can view, edit, and collaborate on them directly in the Teams app. They can also see each others' changes in real time.

Team members can collaborate on files for many purposes:

  • Learners can create a PowerPoint for an upcoming presentation
  • Colleagues can update lesson plans based on new curriculum standards
  • PLC members can design a guide to learning disabilities and accommodations to share with others
  • Esports coaches can track expenses with Excel for an upcoming proposal to the PTA

Once the file is added, team members can view or edit the file. Collaborating on files in real time creates an efficient workflow for both learners and educators.
