Every team can be personalized. Create channels to start customizing a team. Channels are a way to subdivide a team into different modules, ideas, topics, or categories. Create unlimited team channels to structure the content in ways that make sense for the team.

Use channels to organize content in a team

Use channels to organize content and communications with a team. For example:

  • When creating a professional team, consider a team for the entire school faculty or a smaller PLC. Create channels for meetings, schedules, agendas, grade levels, departments, or strategic plans.

  • When creating a class team, create channels for the different units or themes taught in the class.

Create a channel

To create a channel in a team:

  1. Select the three dots next to the name of the Team.
  2. Select Add channel.
  3. Name the channel.
  4. Add a description if more details are needed.
  5. Choose a channel type (standard or private.)
  6. Select Create.

Note

“Other” type teams have three channel type choices: Standard, Shared, and Private.
