We read right to left and as I am in my email many times a day the new navigation pane on the left of my Outlook email is distracting to work with. It is interfering with my daily work flow of over 500 emails. How do I remove, or move these files from my Outlook/email account?

Microsoft, with all due respect, this thread of several hundred comments is from a year ago and STILL I had the same problem today! It took nearly 45 mins to sleuth around and try and fix it. Even when I found the users forum where a fix was posted it still took several attempts and restarts of the Outlook application to fix the problem! Shame on you for not listening to your customers in a timely fashion. If I could get rid of Outlook I would - but this is the platform my employer uses. Couldn't you simply make it so that the default is the old view and if anyone wants a new view they could do the sleuthing to figure out how to move the icons to the side? Also, couldn't you make it easy to fix - like a popup that says drag and drop this panel to the bottom or side, whichever you prefer? Features don't need to be changed just for the sake of changing them. You should look up the case of "New Coke" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Coke which is probably taught as a cautionary tale in every Marketing class on the planet. They tried something new when they didn't need to and it completely backfired. So, please listen to your customers and don't change features unless a lot of people request them, and even then, try them out on people who did not request them but volunteered to be guinea pigs first, not the general public without any notice.

    Office 365

If your navigation bar is positioned on the left margin of your Outlook window, you have the new experience for this feature (available in Current Channel version 2207 or later).

You can move the bar back below the folder pane for a time, as described below, but eventually the navigation bar will be permanently positioned on the left margin.

    1. Select File > Options.
    2. Select Advanced, and under Outlook panes, clear Show App in Outlook.
    3. Close and then restart Outlook. After doing so, you'll see the navigation bar positioned below the folder pane.

The following changed back to my previous view... at least the bar was removed:

    1) Left-click File menu.

    2) Left-click Options on the bottom left side.

    3) In Outlook Options, left-click Advanced.

    4) Un-check [ ] Show Apps in Outlook

    5) Re-start Outlook

This on Outlook Product version: 16.0.15831.20190

Notwithstanding the fact that the new navbar is for the most part pointless and very annoying, you know what? you juct get used to it. There should be the option to revert to the previous layout but clearly that is asking a bit too much.
