Outlook Web App - Home key not working as expected

When drafting an email in the Outlook Web App, I used to be able to push the Home key on my keyboard to position the cursor to the beginning of the line. This is no longer working. Nothing happens when I push the Home button. The End key moves the cursor to the end of the line.

Interestingly, if I open the "My Day" pane to show the calendar on the right side of the screen, my Home key works as expected.

I am using a recent build of Google Chrome (Version 103.0.5060.134) on RHEL 8.6.

Could you please try using another browser to test the operation again? I tried using Edge and the Home key can work properly.

And what's your account type, o365 account or on-prem Exchange server account or outlook.com account?

I also have the same issue, I am using Edge Chromium Version 105.0.1343.27 (Official build) (64-bit) Worked until a few weeks ago and it's frustrating. The OS is windows 10 21h2 19044.1889. I have not tried chrome or firefox yet... But I can replicate the issue using the same browser on my personal windows 11 machine.

I am experiencing the same issue with OWA and Chrome (Version 105.0.5195.102 Official Build 64-bit). It was fine until sometime in August when it stopped working.

Sorry for the delay in my response, @Joyce Shen - MSFT .

I'm afraid I'm not sure what kind of account I have. Is there a way for me to determine my account type? If it helps, I access my mail via the web interface at this URL - https://outlook.office.com/mail/

I tried using a different web browser (Firefox version 91.13.0esr) and my Home key works as expected.

I am still experiencing the issue when using my preferred web browser (Chrome version 103.0.5060.134).

I have the same problem (work account at https://outlook.office.com/) when using Microsoft Edge—typing the home key does nothing. The home key on the keyboard works fine when composing a message using Google Chrome.

FYI, the problem went away once after I updated Chrome to Version 105.0.5195.125 this morning.

Version 107 and the bug is still there. It works after page refresh but then after a while stops working.

I'm experiencing the same issues in Google Chrome Version 104.0.5112.102 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (10.0.19044 Build 19044).
With Edge (Version 105.0.1343.27 (Official build) (64-bit)) it is working fine.

I'm suffering from this issue as well on Microsoft Edge (Version 105.0.1343.33 (Official build) (64-bit).
Obviously it's built on chromium so I guess a recent change to that has buggered things up.

In my case, having the latest version of Chrome did not resolve the issue on it's own. My guess is that some out-of-date script information was still cached on the browser.

Forcing a full reload of Office 365 -- by holding down Ctrl and clicking reload -- did the trick. After that, the Home key went back to working as expected.

This indeed solved issue Ctrl+F5

Cache is (most often) persistent between upgrades of browser.

This only works for a while. Eventually the problem happens again. I've found that using just F5 alone is enough to fix the problem, at least until it happens again. I'm usually in the middle of drafting an email so it's rather annoying to save the message and then refresh and edit the draft again.

After few days I can verify that this is not a permanent solution. The process must be repeated every now and then. The underlying issue still remains, unfortunately.

The problem went away after I updated Chrome to Version 105.0.5195.125. I had been experiencing the problem using Version 103.0.5060.134.

Update to Version 106.0.5249.62 worked for me, but only temporarily - after a while the Home key stopped working again. Closing and reopening the browser seems to "reset" something and the Home key works properly for a while. Then I have to close and reopen again. Rather annoying.

Updating just worked for me as well. Hope it doesn't digress like other used said.
