This forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that second payment was for.

Then use the steps they provide on this link to cancel whatever that second payment was for and get a refund.

If you are still unable to resolve that second payment problem, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

Follow these steps to identify the duplicate charge and request a refund:

    1. Check which account was charged
      1. Go to the Services & subscriptions page for each Microsoft account that might be yours.
      2. Sign in with the first email address and look for the Microsoft 365 subscription and its billing history (renewal date around 14/3/2026).
      3. Sign out, then repeat with any other Microsoft account you may have. It is common to have two different Microsoft 365 subscriptions on two different accounts.
    2. Investigate the second payment
      • If there is a charge that is not clear, use the steps in How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft (linked from the articles below) to see exactly what the second payment was for and which account it is tied to.
    3. Cancel the duplicate subscription Once the duplicate/unused subscription is identified:
      1. While signed in to the account that owns the extra subscription, go to Services & subscriptions.
      2. Find the extra Microsoft 365 subscription and select Manage.
      3. Select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel) and follow the prompts to cancel that subscription.
    4. Request a refund
      • For Microsoft 365 subscriptions purchased from Microsoft, refund eligibility is checked after cancellation.
      • After cancelling, follow the on‑screen steps to see if a refund is offered for that subscription.
      • If the subscription was purchased in Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Korea, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, or Turkey, there may be entitlement to a prorated refund after cancellation. See the prorated refund article in the references.
    5. If self‑service refund is not offered
      • Contact Microsoft Support for billing help:
        • Go to Contact Microsoft Support, choose Microsoft 365, then a billing/subscription category, and select Chat with support agent in web browser or a callback option.
      • Explain that two annual Microsoft 365 fees were charged for effectively one use, and provide dates and amounts so they can review and process any eligible refund.

If either of the payments was made through Google Play or the Apple App Store, their support must be contacted for cancellation or refund instead of Microsoft.
