Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
To cancel a Microsoft 365 or other Microsoft subscription, use the Services & subscriptions page for the Microsoft account that was used to buy it.
- Go to the Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to purchase the subscription.
- Find the subscription to cancel (for example, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, Visual Studio, etc.).
- Select Manage.
- If instead of Manage there is Turn on recurring billing, the subscription is already set to end on the date shown and will not renew; no further action is needed.
- On the management page, choose Cancel or Cancel subscription (sometimes shown as Upgrade or Cancel).
- Follow the on‑screen steps to confirm cancellation.
After cancellation:
- The subscription can usually be used until the end of the current billing period.
- For Microsoft 365 consumer plans (Basic, Personal, Family, Premium), storage reverts to the free allowance when the subscription ends, and if storage used is above the free limit, new files cannot be uploaded to OneDrive and email sending/receiving in Outlook.com stops.
If the subscription was purchased from a third‑party retailer (for example, Amazon, Best Buy, Google Play, Apple App Store), cancellation must be done directly with that retailer’s support.
