Bluetooth Headphones pair and connect fine but do not show up as output device

no sound goes to my connected Bluetooth headphones, they do not show up as an option for output device. Under the controlpanel devices they do show up as headphones. And within bluetooth they do show up as audio. No sound though. Thanks
