In my experience in this forum, a common problem that users face when trying to connect a Bluetooth device to their PC is putting the device into discovery mode. Your device has to be in discovery mode in order for your PC to 'discover' it, which makes it possible for the device and the PC to pair.

Every device has its own particular way of going into discovery mode; it often requires holding down a button on the device. Instructions should have been included in the box when you got the device, or they can be found on the device manufacturer's website.

Check if you have latest Bluetooth drivers installed in the device manager.

Perhaps, restarting the device and the device you're connecting may help in these cases.

    Hi,

To better help you and guide you to the right solution, could you please check and confirm the following details?

    1. What is the make and model of your device?

In the search bar, type MSINFO32 and hit Enter.

Please share a screenshot of that window.

    2. Press Windows + X and choose Device Manager.

Click View > Show Hidden devices

    Expand Bluetooth Devices

Take a screenshot and share it here.

Meanwhile, I would suggest you perform these steps and check.

    Reinstall Bluetooth driver:

Press the Windows key + X and select Device Manager.

    Expand the Bluetooth section

Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter, then click Uninstall Device.

Ensure the "Delete driver software for this device" is checked

    Restart your computer.

Test the Bluetooth if working or not.

Sometimes Bluetooth issues can be resolved by performing a power reset.

Turn off the computer, unplug it from the power source, then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. After that, plug it back in and turn the computer on to check if the issue is fixed.

Follow these steps on Windows 11 to fix Bluetooth devices not connecting:

    1. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on
    • Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
    • Ensure the Bluetooth toggle is turned On.
    • If using a laptop with a physical Bluetooth switch, make sure it is switched on.
    1. Check the Bluetooth device
    • Ensure the device is powered on, charged, and in range of the PC.
    • Turn the device off, wait a few seconds, then turn it on again.
    • Move it closer to the PC and away from other USB 3.0 devices that might interfere.
    1. Remove and re-add the Bluetooth device
    • Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
    • Find the device, select More options (… ) > Remove device.
    • Select Add device, choose Bluetooth, then select the device when it appears and complete pairing.
    1. Turn Bluetooth off and on again
    • In Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices, turn Bluetooth Off.
    • Wait about 10 seconds.
    • Turn Bluetooth On again and try pairing.
    1. Make the PC discoverable / adjust discovery
    • Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices.
    • Under Device settings > Bluetooth devices discovery, choose Advanced so all types of Bluetooth devices are shown.
    • Try pairing again.
    1. Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter
    • Open the Get Help app and run the Bluetooth troubleshooter using the Run the troubleshooter in Get Help link from the Bluetooth support article. It will automatically diagnose and attempt to fix Bluetooth problems.
    1. Check for Windows updates
    • Select Start > Settings > Windows Update.
    • Select Check for updates and install any available updates.
    • Restart the PC if prompted and test Bluetooth again.
    1. Update Bluetooth drivers
    • Open Device Manager (search for it from Start).
    • Expand Bluetooth, right-click the Bluetooth adapter, and select Update driver > Search automatically for updated driver software.
    • Complete the wizard, then restart the PC and test Bluetooth.
    1. Restart the PC
    • Select Start > Power > Restart to clear temporary issues that may affect Bluetooth.

If devices still won’t connect after these steps, repeat step 3 (remove and re-add devices) and step 8 (driver update), then test with a different Bluetooth device to see if the issue is with the PC or a specific accessory.
