Microsoft Assistance with Implementation of GCC Environment

Hi:

We are in the process of establishing our GCC infrastructure, which will include a few VMs in which multiple users (20-30) will log onto. We would also like to migrate our CUI resources to this cloud environment.

We want to ensure these baseline capabilities:

Infrastructure

Supporting services (e.g., Intune, AD, ESET, audit log monitoring, backups, etc.)

VM Client

Outlook email

SharePoint

Data Migration

Timeline

Does Microsoft provide assistance with implementing and setup of these items?

Is there a fast track program that Microsoft provides?

If so, are there any associated costs?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

    Hi Kenon S

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum support.

Based on your description, I understand that you are currently exploring the baseline capabilities of Microsoft FastTrack in relation to your GCC (Government Community Cloud) infrastructure. This includes a setup involving several virtual machines (VMs) that will support concurrent access by approximately 20 to 30 users.

In general, your areas of interest appear to include the following components:

    • Infrastructure
    • Supporting services such as Microsoft Intune, Active Directory (AD), ESET endpoint protection, audit log monitoring, and backup solutions
    • VM Client configuration
    • Outlook email integration
    • SharePoint deployment
    • Data migration strategies
    • Project timeline and implementation planning

I have conducted research and gathered information that may be helpful to you in evaluating Microsoft's support offerings, particularly through the FastTrack program.

    1. Does Microsoft provide assistance with implementing and setup of these items?

As far as I know, Microsoft provides support for most of the items listed for your Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) or GCC High infrastructure, including Infrastructure, Supporting Services (Intune, Azure Active Directory, audit log monitoring, backups), VM Client, Outlook Email, SharePoint, and Data Migration as stated in Data Migration - FastTrack – Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Learn.

However, about ESET, in the GCC High environment, Microsoft does not support third-party mobile device management (MDM) or endpoint protection solutions like ESET Endpoint Protection Mobile due to the isolated infrastructure and strict compliance requirements (e.g., CMMC Level 3, NIST 800-171). Instead, Microsoft requires the use of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, which is integrated into Microsoft 365 E5 or available as an add-on for endpoint security and compliance in GCC High.

    2. Is there a FastTrack program that Microsoft provides?

Yes, Microsoft offers the FastTrack program to assist organizations with the deployment and adoption of Microsoft cloud solutions. The FastTrack program is designed to provide remote guidance from Microsoft engineers and partners, helping customers plan, onboard, and drive user adoption of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, and more.

If you need support for FastTrack program, you can reach out at: FastTrack for Microsoft 365 security

    3. If so, are there any associated costs?

As far as I know, the FastTrack Center is provided at no additional cost for eligible customers with qualifying licenses (e.g., Microsoft 365 E3/E5). However, with GCC high environment, maybe you are responsible for licensing and infrastructure costs as stated in Office 365 US Government - Service Descriptions | Microsoft Learn

You can contact to the Microsoft to get the detail information about this at: Government Validation System

    4. How can an organization engage with the FastTrack program?

Organizations can engage with the Microsoft FastTrack program by submitting a Request for Assistance (RFA) through one of the following portals:

    • Microsoft 365 Admin Center: Accessible to tenant administrators, this portal allows organizations to initiate and manage FastTrack requests directly within their Microsoft 365 environment.
    • Microsoft 365 Setup Portal: Available to both administrators and non-administrators, this portal provides a centralized location to submit and track FastTrack requests.

Once a request is submitted, Microsoft assigns a FastTrack Manager or a certified FastTrack Ready Partner to collaborate with your organization
