Partial blue or gray screen in Teams?

One user started getting either a gray or blue partial screen in MS Teams which I haven’t seen happen to anyone before.

I tried clearing the “%appdata%\roaming\microsoft\teams” folder to delete the cache but that didn’t work. Then, I did a full uninstall and re-install after deleting all Teams folders in %appdata% both roaming and local. Did not work either. Disabled hardware acceleration and still no luck.

Her Teams version is the newest version (1.6.00.4472) and she’s on Win 10 22h2.

Anyone else see this before?

I was able to correct this issue by going to your settings on the taskbar and changing themes. I swapped back and forth from default and dark to make sure that the issue was corrected and it was.

Microsoft is ware of the issue and are actively working on the problem

Title: Some users may encounter rendering issues when opening content from the Files tab in Microsoft Teams

User impact: Users may encounter rendering issues when opening content from the Files tab in Microsoft Teams.

More info: Impact is specific to opening content within the Microsoft Teams desktop and web clients and can manifest in a multitude of ways. Some users may see large blue or grey squares overlaying content. Impact is known to the Microsoft Teams desktop client version 1.6.00.4472, but other versions may also be affected. The content is otherwise not impacted and users can still interact within the client.

While we're working to remediate impact, users can open the content in the desktop applications to bypass this issue.

Current status: Our review of client logging has been inconclusive so far and to continue our assessment of the issue, we've asked reporting users to provide reproduction steps of the problem. In parallel, we're attempting to internally reproduce this issue to gather additional diagnostic information for our investigation.

Scope of impact: Some users opening content from the Files tab within the Microsoft Teams desktop or web clients may be impacted. Next update by: Wednesday, March 22, 2023, 5:00 PM (9:00 PM UTC)

Only in Teams, only with Files. Cleared cache and reinstalled. restarting Teams or changing themes resets it for a short period. User is using an ultrawide display, if that matters.

I have a user with the same problem. Changing the theme works for a while, then it goes back.

We are starting to see this as well and I have reported the issue in MS Admin portal. I am sure they will say no issue found and then I will submit a MS case. Verified issue happens in Teams Online as well.
