Hi Community,

I have activated my Azure free trial account. I want to enable Azure AD PIM and it required P2 License. I am unable to activate P2 License to this default directory.

When I am activating P2 free trial license, it is redirecting me to a page where i need to fill some details and different tenant is activating.

I will really appreciate your help.

    @Syed Muntazir

    Thank you for your post!

    I understand that you're having issues with activating your Microsoft Entra ID P2 license within your MS Entra ID default directory. To hopefully help point you in the right direction, I'll share some troubleshooting steps below.

    1. Since you've activated your Azure free trial account, I'm assuming you already have an active Azure Subscription.
    2. When filling in your additional details, I understand that a different tenant is being activated. To troubleshoot this, can you activate your Microsoft Entra ID P2 trial with a tenant specific user?
      • Navigate to your MS Entra ID directory within the Azure Portal
      • Select Users and Create a user account with your tenant's domain (i.e. ******@tenant.onmicrosoft.com) User's image
      • Once the user is created - Navigate to the user's profile. Select Assigned Roles.
      • Add a new role assignment and assign the Global Administrator role your new user. Note: Ensure this is an Active Role Assignment. User's image
      • Logout of your current user or open a private browsing session.
      • Login using the new Global Admin user that you just created and retry activating the Microsoft Entra ID P2 trial.
