How can I resolve this error? ERROR: STATUS_BREAKPOINT

I have changed the .exe file name -- that does not work.

I have updated MSEDGE--- that does not work.

I have cleared browser history ---- that does not work.

Restarted ---- that does not work.

Had similar problems with Chrome with the AW-SNAP error and changed to Edge about a year ago. I would really like this resolved.

Please help.

What can I do? Where can I go from here?

Same error message (STATUS_BREAKPOINT) on the tab for 'New Page'.

Also get this when try   click on the top right corner and click on ...->Settings  which should  open edge://settings/  but gives the STATUS_BREAKPOINT error. So how to RESET SETTINGS now?

Windows 10 build 19041, 1052, Edge version ??( Help -> About gives same error), NVidia driver version 471.11.

    Makes me miss Internet Exploder.

I have not been able to find a solution. So I have changed to Firefox and have no issues with it.

    Best of luck

This happened after an Edge update occurred on 6/26/21 for me. Here's how I fixed. Go into Settings, App, and "Modify" the Edge installation. Repair will re-download and re-install edge. It worked perfectly after doing that on my machine.

No browser is secure to malicious web pages attacking the user. Period, don't even go there. Firefox also has a long history of malicious extensions.

This particular issue with Edge is super easy to fix, just go into Settings, and App, then under Edge click Modify, then Repair. Fixed. Easy.
