How to remove cached Microsoft Edge accounts

Hello Microsoft Support Community,

I found there are some "cached" email accounts are still listing under Microsoft Edge Browser Profile > Choose an account.

These accounts are old profiles which I signed in before, however I already removed these profiles several times ( there is no signed in profiles now), and also checked Windows Control Panel > User account, no related accounts there.

And I've double checked if these accounts are signed in Office 365 Client, but none of them singed in in my computer. I tried to find them via my computer settings > Work and School accounts, even I tried to check if they are cached from Office registry Identity, however I cannot find them.

May I know how should I remove them? Please advise, any help would be appreciated !

Ps: I am using windows 11 and the latest version of Microsoft Edge !

    Hello Greg,

I don't think this is related to organization policy, as it is O365 account, however my org doesn't have any policy related to Edge browser, and also I have a outlook.com is listing there too and cannot be removed after removing profiles.

    Very strange !

Is this your personal PC that has an organization account on it. If so then the organization's Group Policy is applied just like it was a company or school PC. Until the Work or School account is disconnected in Account Settings > Access Work & School we cannot help since it is effectively a Work or School account which we do not handle here at all.

Please ask at the IT Pro forums I linked for you.

No, my personal devices no work or business account associated ( like aad join, Intune enrolled) I just use the email account login the Microsoft Edge profile, and syncing some data, however they cannot be removed after removing profiles

I see, thanks for clarifying. I still think that for the domain emails, the problem is with the organization in some way. Can you ask their IT desk to see if they know what may be blocking removal of them? Let them know you've tried everything on the Windows side.

    Hi Greg,

Actually I am the global admin of the domain accounts, and I am very sure, there is no any policy or settings related to Microsoft Edge which may block me removing them away.

    Thanks

    Oliver
