How to remove cached Microsoft Edge accounts

Hello Microsoft Support Community,

I found there are some "cached" email accounts are still listing under Microsoft Edge Browser Profile > Choose an account.

These accounts are old profiles which I signed in before, however I already removed these profiles several times ( there is no signed in profiles now), and also checked Windows Control Panel > User account, no related accounts there.

And I've double checked if these accounts are signed in Office 365 Client, but none of them singed in in my computer. I tried to find them via my computer settings > Work and School accounts, even I tried to check if they are cached from Office registry Identity, however I cannot find them.

May I know how should I remove them? Please advise, any help would be appreciated !

Ps: I am using windows 11 and the latest version of Microsoft Edge !

    Oliver -

Try these other fixes for removing old Profiles from Edge in all places they hide:

Let me know if any of those help. I'm still digging here and will help escalate this to Edge developers if necessary.

I don't think we could remove the email account after removing the active profiles from Edge browsers, the only way I think factory reset unless, after that all user associated data will be removed totally and these **** accounts info will be removed too but not Microsoft allowed to remove simply !!

Oliver, I would report this bug to Edge Developers in the Edge Hub (three dots to right of URL address bar) then Help & Feedback, then Feedback form to fill out. They may not even see it here.

If you use your same MS Account as you use to post here in Community to file the Feedback bug report, I will escalate this to Edge Team via our forum channel to ask them to take a look and try to fix this once and for all since it is an issue for others who report it, too.

That would be great ! However Microsoft would never think about it's a bug, and I could find a lot of different threads here, but no one has a good idea unless reset.

That's why I think we should refer it to developers, so they can investigate it since it is being reported somewhat regularly. If you are willing to share logs or other information the developers may need, please say so in your Feedback.

Let me know if you go ahead and post feedback so I can ask developers to have a look. They are usually good about this via our forum channel set up for this purpose.
